What you need

cup marinara sauce
slice mozzarella

tbsp dried thyme

clove garlic clove

cup parmesan cheese

lb ground beef

cup bread crumbs
tbsp dried onion flakes

tbsp dried basil

tbsp black pepper

lb ground pork

tbsp table salt
Instructions
Form the Meatballs: Mix all meatball ingredients until just combined. Roll into golf-ball-size meatballs. Smoke: Smoke at 275°F for 60 minutes, until meatballs reach 160°F internal and have a light smoky crust with Bear Mountain BBQ Tailgate Blend. Sauce: Transfer smoked meatballs to a pot or foil pan. Cover with marinara and simmer 10–15 minutes to soak up flavor. Build the Subs: Load hoagie rolls with meatballs and sauce. Top with cheese. Melt & Finish: Place subs back on the smoker or in a hot oven until cheese is melted and bread is toasted. Serve: Slice in half for easy grab-and-go, or keep them whole and let the chaos happen. Party-Friendly Tip: After smoking the meatballs, transfer them straight to a slow cooker. Add marinara, cover, and cook on LOW for 2–3 hours (or WARM until game time). They’ll stay juicy, saucy, and ready to build subs whenever people get hungry.View original recipe
