Creamy Southern Black-Eyed Peas with Pulled Ham & Collard Greens

What you need

fl oz water

bunch greens

cup heavy cream

fl oz dry white wine
lb sausage

clove garlic clove

cup cooked ham

tbsp seasoned salt
Instructions
In a large pot, cook onions, bell pepper, and celery over medium heat until softened. Add garlic and stir until fragrant. Cook sausage then deglaze the pot with white wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Add seasonings and veggies back in. Add ham, black-eyed peas, chicken stock, water (as needed to cover). Simmer for about 1½ hours. Taste and adjust seasoning. Add greens and cook for 30 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and cook an additional 30 minutes. Taste again and adjust seasoning. Serve hot, with rice and your favorite hot sauce!View original recipe
