Preheat your grill to 350°F (or oven). Brown the sausage if not already done. In a bowl, mix the browned sausage, softened cream cheese, and BBQ rub. On a flat surface, unroll the crescent dough and arrange it into a circle, leaving a little room in the middle (using a bowl in the center can help create a perfect circle, then remove it). Evenly spread the sausage, cream cheese, and rub mixture onto the crescent dough circle. Take the provolone slices, cut them in half, and place them on top of the mixture. Fold the outer edge of the crescent dough over the filling and wrap it under towards the center, forming a ring. Whisk the egg to create an egg wash and brush it over the top of the crescent ring. Dust the top with Southern Bell Rub. Bake on the grill (or in the oven) at 350°F for 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Enjoy!
